Dar Tassa - Location

Dar Tassa resides in the shadow of the Takherkhort Reserve, a sanctuary for Toubkal's most noble species, the Barbary Sheep. The Amaseen gazelle reserve, a must see in neighboring Marigha, promises this regal endangered species will have fighting chance to restore its declining population. Be sure to bring your binoculars, as over 150 species of bird - from the Grey Partridge to the Alpine Accentor and Chough - make their nest among the Park's natural wonders. And if you should decide to set out on a flora and fauna discovery trek, don't be startled to find reptiles underfoot that recall ancient fossils come to life.

Dar Tassa was happy to sponsor the High Atlas Fondation in planting 33,000 fruit trees (cherry, apple, peach, quince, and plum) This project is a partnership among the High Atlas Foundation, the Global Diversity Foundation, the Association des Amis du CHU, the Province d’ Al Haouz, the Marrakech Department of Waters and Forests, the Department of Agriculture for the High Atlas, the Marrakech21 Foundation, Dar Tassa , Kasbah Tamadot, and Kasbah Toubkal. Participants identified the types of trees they wished to receive and this partnership funded the purchase and distribution of them, as well as provided technical training in fruit tree agriculture.
