Hope all is well with you.

My wife Sofia and I recently ended our 4-night stay at Dar Tassa over Christmas and I thought I’d send a quick mail to let you know how it went. We’ve also posted a review on Trip Advisor as requested.

We had a wonderful stay at Dar Tassa – Ouadia and Fatima made a great effort to look after us and ensure that we were comfortable, happy and felt welcome. Please say hello to them from us. Your cousin Mohammed was also really helpful and kindly took the time to show us around the salt mines when we needed to visit Asni to withdraw some cash (this was the only point we’d mention to bear in mind – we’d assumed that it would be possible to pay by card at Dar Tassa, but when we arrived it seems the connection wasn’t working so we needed to withdraw cash in Asni; this was no real problem and in fact gave us a lovely morning out with Mohammed, but probably should be mentioned in advance to future guests).

The location of Dar Tassa is stunning, especially with the terrace overlooking the village – more beautiful than we’d been led to expect from the website/photos – and the walk up the valley provides incredible views and a great day out (we ordered a picnic from Fatima and were delighted with the nice touch of a tablecloth and backpack to put it all in!). We ended our stay relaxed and ready for the chaos of Marrakech once more.

We would certainly recommend Dar Tassa to other guests. Though we can’t comment on its value for money, etc, in relation to other accommodation in Morocco, as we didn’t stay in another guest house of this kind, we were delighted with the location and the friendliness and warmth of the staff and would certainly be very happy to return.

"Excellent stay"

I am delighted to recommend Dar Tassa to anyone lookiing to experience the beauty of the High Atlas Mountains. Nestled up a quiet valley, the hotel enjoys magnificient views over the valley and is a haven of peace. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent and varied. We had an excellent stay enjoyed by all the family.
The only issue to beware of is the access, which is 6km off the main road along a dirt track

Skip & I love Dar Tassa the most, of course! Thanks for all your kind hospitality and generosity during our short stay at Dar Tassa (wish we could have stayed longer). I loved being the mint tea brewer and we certainly enjoyed our personal tour of the village and everything you showed us and explained to us. And the food served was outstanding! Tassaourgane and Dar Tassa are certainly the gems of Morocco!
